... Necrosis is also an allegory of how memory works. These photographs and their staging recreate the Wall of Memory from their own particular gaze, the same as the author.

Human memory is not an immutable copy of reality. When remembering, each memory is inscribed in the present of each one and is rewritten in the memory incorporating the experience of the current moment. The Wall of Memory will be inscribed in our memory through the images of Necrosis and our gaze, keeping the protagonists of the Wall alive.

​

Our lives are made at the end of that strange lattice: the pain and sadness at the scandal over these abominable deaths and the ability to transform that pain into a work of art and thus honor the memory of the victims and write our history.
