The MANKASEN photography workshop is an educational project aimed at the personal and social development of public school students in the country through pinhole photography and the creation of photograms. The workshops are aimed at children and young people between 12 and 16 years of age.
The main objective is to expand the perception capacity of the participants through the production of photographic images and visual stories relevant to their geographical environment.
Contact with different artistic and cultural experiences encourages young people to creatively appropriate the infinite possibilities of their imagination and to reflect on their sense of identity and community.
The photograms - images obtained without a camera in the dark room - make this act the first discovery of the magic of light in contact with photosensitive materials.
The pinhole technique used will allow us to explore the fundamentals of photography in a playful way, from the construction of the black cardboard cameras to the photographic record of their environment and their own identity portrait.
Both the technical process and the work methodology are ideal for children and young people, providing a fun process and collaborative learning.
